— Dr. Tam attended the CICE 2021 conducted virtually in Istantbul, Turkey and had a virtual presentation entitled “Understanding Degradation of Fiber/Matrix Interface under Environmental Effects using Molecular Simulation”.

— Master student Marc has received the Scholarship of Outstanding Behavior (Second-class) for International Postgraduates from Beihang.

— PhD student Ruidong Wu has received the Merit Student Award from Beihang and “Transportation Star-Nesting Villa” Scholarship (Outstanding-class) from Transportation School at Beihang, respectively.

— Dr. Tam, Prof. Chao Wu (Beihang), and Dr. Pan Wang (Qingdao Uni Tech) received the Innovation Award of Simulation Technology from China Conference of Simulation Application Technology (CCSAT 2021).

— Dr. Tam co-chaired the Civil Engineering Section in CCSAT 2021, and had an oral presentation entitled “Multiscale Investigation on Fiber-Reinforced Composites”.

— Master Student Marc attended 7th International Conference on Mechanics of Composites (MECHCOMP7) conducted virtually in Porto, Portugal and had a virtual presentation entitled “Molecular investigation on carbon fiber-epoxy matrixinterface under sustained load conditions”.

— Dr. Tam attended the 10th Structure Design Competition for College Students in Beijing, China as the panel of judges in the Group B Competition (Bridge Section).

— Dr. Zechuan Yu visited Department of Civil Engineering at Beihang and gave a seminar entitled “亚微米尺度下碳纳米管-水化硅酸钙的粗粒化分子动力学建模”.

— PhD student Ruidong Wu and Research Assistant Jinqiao Jiang attended 2nd Conference of Computation and Simulation in Civil Engineering in Beijing, China and had oral presentations entitled “Mechanical response and mechanism analysis of carbon nanotube/polypropylene nanocomposite” and “Molecular dynamics investigation on failure mechanism of fiber/matrix interface in harsh environments”, respectively.

— Dr. Tam attended the 4th FRP-SSC International Workshop online.

— PhD student Ruidong Wu has received the Outstanding Performance Award 2020 for Postgraduate Student from Beihang.
