Teaching

    Since the Spring semester of 2020, I have served as the instructor for the Principles of Flight course 

    for the Flight Technology major at the School of Flight. Driven by personal interest, I have invested 

    immense enthusiasm into the development of this course, enduring countless late nights (and 

    perhaps sacrificing a fair share of hair along the way) as I strive for continuous improvement...

    In the Spring semester of 2018, I joined the course group as a junior teaching assistant. I completed 

    two semesters of audit-based learning under the supervision of the course leader, Professor Yang 

    Chao, while simultaneously serving as the instructor for the "History of Aviation" and "Aircraft 

    Structure" on-site modules. 


    In the Spring and Fall semesters of 2020, I taught Introduction to Aeronautics and Astronautics B 

    for liberal arts majors. 


    Since the Spring of 2021, I have been teaching Introduction to Aeronautics and Astronautics A for 

    engineering majors.

    In the Spring semester of 2018, I joined the course group as a junior teaching assistant, completing 

    the first round of audit-based learning and providing auxiliary teaching assistance and Q&A 

    support under the supervision of Professor Liu Hu, the course leader. 

    I plan to join the teaching team for the graduate course Principles of Stealth, offered by Professor 

    Ji Jinzu. 

    In 2019, I participated in the teaching of the new elective course Classic Aircraft Design Case Studies, 

    offered by the Aircraft Conceptual Design course group. I was specifically responsible for preparing 

    and delivering Lecture 10 on the Harrier series of jet fighters. 


    Since 2019, I have served as the advisor for the Beihang Aeromodelling Team. 


    Competition Achievements 

    At the 2019 SAE International Aero Design West (Advanced Class) competition, the team won the overall championship with a 3rd place finish in the Design Report, 1st place in the Presentation, and 1st place in the Flight Mission. This performance set the best record for the entire 2019 season (across both the U.S. East and West regional competitions).

    In the 2021 China University Student Aircraft Design and Innovation Competition (CUADC), the team participated in three categories: Timed Airdrop, Precision Airdrop, and Ground Reconnaissance & Strike.  Additionally, three projects were entered into the Science and Technology Innovation competition. We secured a total of four First Prizes.

    At the 2023 British Model Flying Association (BMFA) University Challenge, the team won the championship in the "Heavy Lift" class, ranking 1st in Report & Drawing, 1st in Presentation, and 1st in Flight Score. In the "Payload" class, we secured the runner-up position, ranking 1st in Report & Presentation and 2nd in Flight Score.
