Jun Zhang, Professor in the School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering at Beihang University.
I have been working on multiscale simulation and data-driven modelling of non-equilibrium and non-continuum flows, including rarefied gas flows, hypersonic flows, micro/nano scale flows, interfacial flows, and turbulence. My group has developed the Unified Stochastic Particle (USP) method and the open-source software (SPARTACUS) for the simulation of multiscale non-equilibrium gas flows and turbulence. The current research also includes multiscale simulation of gas-surface interations the data-driven discovery of governing equations for non-equilibrium flows.
I have published more than 50 papers in high impact journals, such as Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Computational Physics, Physical Review Fluids, Physical Review E, Physics of Fluids, AIAA Journal, etc. I have been in charge of 4 projects supported by NSFC as a principle investigator.
