Dr. Zhang is an associate professor in Beihang University. Before joining Beihang, he was a postdoc research fellow in Zienkiewicz Centre, Swansea University from September 2017 to December 2020. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2011, a Master’s degree in 2014 and a Ph.D. degree in 2017 ( University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow). ResearchGate. Google Scholar.
His PhD is a poineering study in the area of “Reconfigurable Smart Structures” and under supervised by Prof. C McInnes with the thesis entitled ‘Reconfiguring smart structures using approximate heteroclinic connections‘. Following his PhD, he was appointed as a research staff in September 2017 working with Prof. M Friswell under the EU 2020 grant focused on “Shape Adaptive Blades for Rotorcraft Efficiency“.
