Zhaoguo Xue, male, born in 1990, Associate Professor of Institute of Solid Mechanics, School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering, Beihang University. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Proceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical & Engineering Sciences.

In 2018, he received his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Linwei Yu from the School of Electronic Science and Engineering at Nanjing University. From November 2016 to February 2018, he worked as a visiting Ph.D. student under the joint supervision of Prof. Pere Roca i Cabarrocas at LPICM, Ecole Polytechnique, France. In July 2018, he was selected to receive support from the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents, and joined the research group of Prof. Yonggang Huang and Prof. Yihui Zhang, as the post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Engineering Mechanics at Tsinghua University. Then, he joined the faculty of Beihang University in December 2020. 

Dr. Xue's research is highly multidisciplinary and lies at the intersection of mechanics, materials, electronics, physics and chemistry. His research interests include mechanically-guided assembly of 3D flexible electronics, stretchable electronics, and nanoelectronics. Dr. Xue's work has been published in high-impact journals as the first/co-first/corresponding author, such as Science Advances, Nature Communication, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, Advanced Functional Materials, Small, NPG Asia Materials, Nanoscale, Applied Surface Science, Science China Materials etc., and some work has been reported by many journals and press releases, such as Nature Review Materials, Phys.org, eeNews Europe and Inquisitr.com. Besides, He has obtained 3 China patents.
