This research line focuses on the recycling of LCD panel glass through the combined use of low-temperature and high-temperature approaches rooted in hydrometallurgy and glass science. We investigate the extraction of valuable compounds from LCD panels while systematically characterising the structure–property relationships of the residual glass. High-temperature experiments, complemented by spectroscopic and microscopic techniques, are used to understand compositional, structural, and physical changes in the glass, with the aim of developing effective and scalable recycling strategies.
