Dr. Shuhua Yue, Professor in School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering at Beihang University in China. She got her bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University in China and her PhD degree with the advisor, Prof. Ji-Xin Cheng, from Purdue University in the US. Her research focuses on the study of single cell metabolism by coherent Raman scattering microscopy and the translational research on precision disease diagnosis and therapy. She has published over 20 peer reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author on renowned journals, including Cell Metabolism, Science Advances, Advanced Science, Laser & Photonics Review, Analytical Chemistry, etc. She has 4 issued patents and 2 of them has been transferred. Her research is supported by multiple grants from the National Natural Science Foundation. She was awarded the Young Investigator’s Award by the WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering. She currently serves as committee members for Biomedical Photonics, Clinical Laboratory Testing, and International Affairs in Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, and organization committee member for SPIE Photonics West "Advanced Chemical Microscopy" conference and SPIE European Conferences on Biomedical Optics. Her course “Biomedical Optics” was awarded as the “First Class” Undergraduate Course by Beihang University. She was also awarded “Fan Zhou” Excellent Teaching Award and Excellent Class Advisor by Beihang University; First Prize in the “Challenge Cup” National College Student Curricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition and Second Prize in the China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition as the mentors.
