Dr. Zhan Tu, Full Professor
Biosketch
Dr. Zhan Tu, National High-Level Young Talent Award, joined Beihang University in Nov 2020. His research interests include unmanned systems, intelligent perception, collaborative control, and bio-inspired robots. His several novel results have been reported by worldwide media coverage such as NBC News, IEEE Spectrum, and Sina. Now he is in charge of several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other provincial/ministerial research institutions. He has more than 50 publications in Nature Commun., Commseng-Nature, IEEE TRO, IEEE SMC-A, IEEE/ASME T.MECH, IEEE RAL, ICRA, IROS, etc, and holds more than 30 patents. He won the First Prize of the Technology Invention Award of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (2025) and the Second Prize of Natural Science Award from the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (2024).
