Profile

Dr. Qiang Ren is  an“Excellent Hundred”Associate Professor and PhD advisor of Beihang University since Sept., 2017 . He obtained his PhD degree in Duke University and worked as a postdoctoral scholar in Computational Electromagnetics and Antenna Research Laboratory (CEARL) of the Pennsylvania State University (PSU).  His research fields include electromagnetic field thoery,computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic compatiblitiy,plasmonics, optimization and etc. His reserach interests include discontinuous Galerkin method, domain decomposition method, finite element method, spectral element method, inverse scattering,deep learning in computational electromagnetics for the applications,such as the electromagnetic response of large and multiscale structures, simulation and optimization of periodic / aperiodic metasurface and phased array antenna, geophysical exploration,medical imaging.
