My name is Liu Binchao. According to the custom of Chinese name, Liu is the surname and Binchao is the first-name.

Hangzhou International Innovation Institute (H3I) is the Hangzhou campus of Beihang University (BUAA, for Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics). In the plan of BUAA, H3I will take the responsibility for international cooperation in education and reserach.

There are many research centers in H3I, and I'm now working as an associate professor at COMAC-BUAA Aircraft Research Center (Hangzhou). COMAC is for Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd, which is the main entity for implementing the program of large passenger aircraft as well as achieving the industrialization of civil aircraft in China.

My research experiences mainly involve Analysis & Evaluation on Safety of Aircraft Structures (eg. safe life, damage tolerance, structural integrity), Fatigue & Fracture of Advanced Metallic Alloys & Parts, and Peridynamics. I have published about 15 papers on the prestigious academic journals such as Chinese Journal of Aeronautics, International Journal of Fatigue, Material Science & Engineering: A, Theoretical & Applied Fracture Mechanics, etc. Also, I have performed several presentations at several conferences both in China and abroad. In 2023, I was approved for the Youth Project from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

I have high academic enthusiasm, broad research interests, strong innovation ability, and strict scientific spirits. I hope to make contribution to the aircraft structural integrity and aviation talents cultivation. I'm also willing to conducting interdisciplinary research and recruiting international graduates.

3. Health Monitoring and Digital Twins of Aircraft Structures

4. Evaluations on Lifetime and Reliability of Microswitches in Aircraft Equipment
