左宗玉，男，博士，国家级青年人才，现为北京航空航天大学自动化学院智能系统与控制工程系教授。2005年7月获中南大学自动化专业工学学士学位。同年，免试推荐为北航自动化科学与电气工程学院控制理论与控制工程专业直博生（导师：霍伟教授），2011年7月获工学博士学位。期间曾获中南大学优秀学生、优秀毕业生，北京航空航天大学研究生院优秀党员称号。入选科睿唯安 (Clarivate) 2020、2022~2024年“全球高被引学者”以及入选爱思唯尔 (Elsevier) 2021~2023年"中国高被引学者"。

教学：目前担任北航“双百工程”优质课程《理论力学A》的课程负责人，以及国家级精品课程、国家级一流本科课程《自动控制原理》的教学工作；参编教材1本（《自动控制原理》王艳东、程鹏 主编，高等教育出版社），出版教材1本（《非线性系统控制理论》诸兵、左宗玉、丁正桃 编著，机械工业出版社）。

Zongyu Zuo received his B.Eng. Degree in automatic control from Central South University, Hunan, China, in 2005, and PH.D. Degree in control theory and applications from Beihang University (BUAA), Beijing, China, in 2011. He was an academic visitor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Manchester from September 2014 to September 2015 and held an inviting associate professorship at Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, UMR CNRS 8201, Unversity de Valenciennes et du Hainaut-Cambresis in October 2015 and May 2017. He is currently a full professor at the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University. He has held six authorized patents and has published two monograhs,  more than one hundred and forty (140) fully-refereed high quality journal articles indexed by Science Citation Index (SCI), including more than eighty(80) articles published in Automatica and the most prestigious IEEE Transactions. He was identified as one of Highly Cited Researchers - 2020 and 2022 by Clarivate. Professor Zuo was ranked in the Top 41 (with self-citations) and Top 45 (without self-citations) in the total researchers (83,299) in the world within the field of Industrial Engineering & Automation for citation impact during the single calendar year 2021 in the Stanford University’s Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists. He was ranked in the Top 474 (with self-citations) and Top 457 (without self-citations) in the total researchers (83,299) in the world within the field of Industrial Engineering & Automation for career-long citation impact up until the end of 2021 in the Stanford University’s Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists.
