Abstract:Low-inductance permanent magnet sync hronous motors (PMSMs) are prone to significant high-frequency current harmonics when driven by pulse-width modulation (PWM) inverters. In magnetically levitated turbomolecular pump (MLTMP) applications, these harmonics lead to increased losses, temperature rise, torque ripple, and may even deteriorate magnetic bearing stability. To address this issue, an adaptive DC bus voltage modulation strategy based on extremum seeking control and cascaded deadbeat predictive control (ESC-CDPC) is proposed. A front-end buck converter is employed to enable variable bus
