Dr. Xiaoran Yan is an Associate Professor at the AI Innovation Center, Beihang University (Hangzhou International Campus). His research interests include Neural-Symbolic Agents, AI for Science, Graph Learning, Knowledge Graphs, Domain-specific Large Language Models, Multimodal Alignment, Federated Learning, and Differential Privacy. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico in 2013 and his B.S. in Computer Science from Zhejiang University in 2007. Previously, he held research and postdoctoral positions at Zhejiang Lab, Indiana University, the University of Southern California, and the Santa Fe Institute. He has led multiple major research projects in AI for Science, graph machine learning, and privacy-preserving computing, and has published extensively in top venues such as KDD, The Web Conference, SIGIR, ICASSP, and IEEE TKDE.
