Zhiyuan Wei is an Associate Professor in Gas Turbine Aero-engine Modelling and Control at Beihang University. He got his PhD from Beihang in 2021, with the thesis topic on advanced safety control for aircraft engines over the life cycle. During his PhD, he was a Visiting Researcher in  Propulsion Engineering Centre at Cranfield University in UK from 2019 to 2020. After the completion of his PhD, he secured a Post-doc position in advanced engine control at Beihang.
