Dan Lu, Associate Professor in Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University. I earned my Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics with highest honors from the University of Zaragoza in Spain. My research has been supported through multiple grants from the ISI Foundation in Turin, Italy, where I contributed to studies in mathematics and complex systems.

My long-term research focuses on risk and safety management of complex systems. I have worked to uncover the mechanisms of risk evolution and propagation within complex networks, and have developed methods for modeling risk propagation, its perception and identification, dynamic assessment, and early warning. My current research specialization centers on safety-related challenges in low-altitude unmanned systems.

I have published over 10 SCI-indexed papers published in journals such as RESS, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, and hold over 10 patents (both applied and granted). My contributions have been recognized with the First Prize for Technological Invention from the Chinese Institute of Command and Control. I have also participated in more than 10 research projects, including those funded by the European Union, the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Government of Aragon in Spain, as well as various fundamental research initiatives and industry collaborations.
