Li Wei, born in October 1991, is currently a teacher with the title of associate research professor at School of Instrument Science and Optoelectronic Engineering, Beihang University.

In 2013, he graduated from Beihang University with a bachelor's degree, and was exempted from the qualification of master's and doctoral studies in the same year. He graduated from Beihang University with a Ph.D. degree in 2021 and won awards including Outstanding Graduate and Outstanding Academic Paper of Beihang University. From 2017 to 2020, he was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council to go to the Institude of Physics of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany for joint doctoral training. In 2021, he entered Beihang University, and was successively selected as an outstanding 100 postdoctoral fellow and outstanding faculty postdoctoral fellow of Beihang University, and was employed as a research teacher in April 2024.

He is mainly engaged in the research of cold atom quantum information and quantum precision measurement. In terms of quantum information, his research interests focus on the interaction between light and atoms in hollow-core optical waveguides, and the use of hollow-core optical fiber and optical conveyor belt technology has demonstrated the controllable transport of stored light at the macroscopic scale for the first time (PhysRevLett.125.150501). In terms of quantum precision measurement, the research on cold atom interferometer based on hollow-core optical waveguide and its application in the field of high-precision inertial sensing (OL.507090photonics11050428) was explored.

He has hosted the China Youth Science Fund of National Natural Science Foundation (approved in 2024), China National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents (approved in 2021), and the fund of key Laboratory on Inertial Technology. As the technical leader, he has participated in a number of major national projects, with a total funding of more than 4 million yuan. The research results have been published in authoritative academic journals such as Physical Review Letters and Optical Letters, etc.
