Yuying LIU is a full professor of School of Energy and Power Engineering at Beihang University (BUAA)  in China. After receiving het PhD in thermal energy engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2004, she joined BUAA as a faculty member ever since. She was a visiting researcher at Laboratoire de Combustion et de Détonique (LCD) at École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique (ENSMA) in France from 2006-2007. She also worked as a visiting researcher at Laboratoire de Mécanique des Fluides et d'Acoustique (LMFA) at Ecole Centrale Lyon (ECL) in France in 2010 and 2011 respectively supported by the EU TANDEM Program. Her group's research interests are spray combustion and application, hydrogen combustion,  ignition, extinction and flame stabilization, radiation in combustion, gas radiation model development, turbulence-radiation interaction, etc.
