Jing Li was born in 1989 and raised in Hubei Province (P.R. of China). He received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Wuhan University (P.R. of China) in 2011. He then moved to Institute of Chemistry,Chinese Academy of Sciences (P.R. of China) to obtain a Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Li-Jun Wan and Prof. Dong Wang in 2016, focusing on the chemical synthesis and functionalization of graphene. He was appointed as research fellow with Prof. Jiong Lu at National University of Singapore (Singapore) from 2016 to 2022, where he worked on the solution synthesis and surface study of two dimensional materials. He joined the school of chemistry at the Beihang University as a professor in 2022. His research interests include the surface study and chemical functionalization of low-dimensional materials.
