Hai-Miao Hu received the B.S. degree from Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from Beihang University, Beijing,
Dr. Hu serves as an associate editor for IEEE Access, Frontier of Computer Science (Springer) . Recently, he is technical program member for multiple conferences and reviewer for multiple journals, including IEEE TIP, TCSVT, and TMM. He is a member of IEEE and ACM, and a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF). His research interests include image/video processing, video analysis and understanding, and video coding and networking.
Dr. Hu has authored or coauthored 30+ technical papers including 20+ referred journal papers. He holds 10 patents and has 10+ under reviewing patents. Dr. Hu received National Technology Invention Award and Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award of Beijing, in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
