Lizhi Guan has long been engaged in research on the design and manufacturing of mechanical properties of advanced composite materials across multiple scales. He has published over 20 high-quality academic papers, including 12 first or co-first-authored articles in prestigious journals such as Advanced Materials, NPG Asia Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and Additive Manufacturing. Additionally, he has contributed two book chapters and holds two international invention patents (as the primary inventor).
He has been selected for the Zhejiang Overseas High-Level Talent Program and was awarded the 2024 National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scholars. He serves as a member of the Chinese Society for Composite Materials and the European Ceramic Society. He has participated in numerous domestic and international research projects, including the Spanish National Research Council’s LINKA20348 project, Singapore’s National Natural Science Foundation projects, China’s National Natural Science Foundation, and applied industrial collaborations such as the development of a novel high-toughness epoxy potting adhesive with low thermal expansion coefficient for the China Academy of Engineering Physics (Institute of Electronic Engineering, CAEP).
During his overseas studies and work, he has supervised or co-supervised over 10 undergraduate and doctoral students from countries including the United States, Spain, France, Singapore, and China. His research group maintains strong academic exchanges and collaborations with leading universities in Europe, Singapore, Dubai, and other regions.
