Liang Sun is an associate professor with the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Beihang University (BUAA). He obtained Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, he was a researcher with Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell and NEC Corporation. He also held a visiting position at the South University of Science and Technology of China, Shenzhen. From September 2014 to December 2015, he has been a postdoctoral research fellow with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Dr. Sun received a 2010 Young Author Best Paper Award by the IEEE Signal Processing Society and Hong Kong Telecom Institute of Information Technology Post-Graduate Excellence Scholarships.
