Zhang Yong Biao, male, born on July 1979, Jiaozuo Henan, is an associated professor at Advanced Innovation Center for Big Data-Based Precision Medicine, Beihang University. In 2003, Zhang graduated from Yunnan University with a bachelor’s degree, and received his PhD in 2008 from Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He soon joined Beijing Genomics Center until April 2018, since when he has been working as an associated professor at Beihang.
Zhang’s research interests are neural stem cells, genetics and multi-omics. His current work focuses on analysis of multi-omics change and regulatory mechanism of stem cell differentiation via high-throughput sequencing of cells and animal models. He is also interested in pathogenesis of cerebrovascular diseases.
Zhang has been in charge of 3 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NNSF), 2 of them by General Program and 1 by Young Scholar Program, with 3 million funding in total. He also has participated in 5 other projects supported by NSFC or Beijing Municipal Education Commission. He has published 10 papers as the first or correspondence author on SCI journals, such as Nature Communication, Human Molecular Genetics, and others. Cumulative impact factor reaches 51. He also published another 15 papers as coauthors. He is the committee member of Journal of Medical Genetics, Journal of Dental Research, and Research Grants Concil (HongKong).
