Dr. Bing Zhu was born in Wuhan, China, in 1985. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in control theory and applications from Beihang University (formerly named Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), Beijing, China P.R., in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He has been with University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa, as a postdoctoral fellow supported by Vice-Chancellor Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2013 to 2015. He has been with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, as a research fellow from 2015 to 2016. He joined School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University, as an associate professor in 2016. His research interests include: 1) nonlinear control for rotary-wing UAVs, 2) model predictive control and its application in demand-side management of new energy systems, and 3) guidance and control for multi-agent systems.
