Dr Daiqi Xiong obtained her bachelor's degree from Wuhan University of Technology, and master's degree from the University of Southampton in the UK and Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She then continued her postdoctoral research at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and joined the Sustainable Photonics Research Center in July 2025. Her research directions mainly include ultrafast optics, special optical fibers, laser technology and optical soliton dynamics, etc. During her doctoral studies, her research work won the Best Student Paper Award from OPTICA and was selected as Spotlight on Optics by the journal Photonics Research. In addition, she also serves as a reviewer for international journals such as Optics Letters, Physical Review A and Biomedical Optics Express, etc.
