Biomedical /MEMS Microdevice Design and Analysis

Specialized in static and dynamic designs, theoretical modeling, and numerical simulation of a variety of microsystems. Skilled in use of SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, COMSOL Multiphysics, Abaqus, ANSYS, MATLAB, AutoCAD, Tanner L-Edit IC Layout, Altium Designer, ACES Beta, etc.


Micro/Nano Fabrication

Extensive experience in processing, management, and maintenance of facilities at the cleanroom. Skilled in use of mask aligner, magnetron sputtering system, e-beam evaporation system, thermal evaporation system, parylene coater, thermal oxidation furnace, wet bench, reactive ion etching tool, HF vapor etcher, electroplating machine, micro-electro-discharge micromachining tool, 3D printer, laser microwelding, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, etc.


Biotechnology

Experienced with cell culturing, immunofluorescence, western blot, PCR, transfection, haemacytometer, extracellular matrix pattern, surface treatment, microfluidics, etc. Exposure to interventional radiology surgery and surgical tools.  


System-Level Integration and Data Acquisition

Expertise in integrating devices into systems for data acquisitions and end-user applications. Experience with the integration of MEMS sensors with telemetry, microcontroller, and interface ASIC with analog front-end circuit and the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for sensing data processing, experimental setup with LabVIEW and MATLAB for measurement and signal processing. Skilled in various electronic instruments, e.g., oscilloscope, impedance/network analyzer, probe station, digital multimeter, power meter, etc.
