Xia Yakang, Associate Professor at the Research Institute of Aero-Engine, Beihang University.
Dr. Xia got his Ph.D degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada in 2023, and his research focuses on efficient cooling technologies for high-temperature components of aerospace engines, high heat flux spray cooling, boiling heat transfer, droplet impact mechanisms, bubble dynamics, and optimization of biomimetic surface design. So far, he has published over 30 papers in high-level journals such as the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Applied Thermal Engineering, Langmuir, and the International Journal of Multiphase Flow. He has been awarded the "National Excellent Self-Funded Overseas Student Award" by the China Scholarship Council.
