My research mainly focuses on advanced structrual alloys, such as ultra-high strength bearing/gear steels and high entropy alloys. I am interested in modelling the evolution of microstructures and mechanical properties of these alloys upon plastic deformation. I also work on the design and modelling of high entropy alloys for various application scenarios by means of machine learning.
My research style is to establish mathematical models to correlate macro-scale phenomenology with micro-scale interactions and to reveal underlying mechanisms of these transitions, with experimental validations.
