    Introduction

    Prof. Ying Fan got her Ph.D. degree in system engineering. She is currently a professor and the Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Beihang University, and the director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research(CEEP), a joint center of Beihang University and the Institute of Policy and Management at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She visited Cornell University in the U.S. as a visiting scholar from 2004 to 2005. Her research and teaching fields include Energy-Environment-Economy system modeling, energy finance, climate change, Energy and environmental policy. She is currently Vice President for Academic affairs of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE).
        She has carried out over 60 research projects, published over 200 papers in peer reviewed journals such as the Energy Journal, Energy Economics, European Journal of Operational Research, Environmental Modeling and Assessment, Energy Policy, Energy, Applied Energy, Environmental Modelling and Software, Journal of Policy Modeling, Technical Forecasting and Social Change, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Physica A, and Computers and Industrial Engineering. She has received important awards, such as research grant for distinguished young scientists sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Special Government Allowance honored by the State Council, CAS Hundred Talents Program sponsored by the CAS, and many Science and Technology Awards.
