Dr. Yushan Liu received the B.Eng. degree in Automation from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2008 and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Texas A&M University at Qatar. She joined the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University as an Associate Professor under the Zhuobai Talent Program in September 2017, and was promoted to Tenured Associate Professor in December 2024.
Her research interests center on impedance-source inverters, cascaded multilevel converters, grid-connected photovoltaic power generation, renewable energy power conversion, and model predictive control. Her research focuses on fundamental theory and practical engineering applications of power electronic conversion and grid-integrated renewable energy systems. To date, she has authored more than 120 SCI/EI indexed papers and published two books as the first author with Wiley. She has obtained 27 authorized/pending invention patents. Dr. Liu has been consecutively listed as an Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researcher for five years, selected into the World’s Top 2% Scientists of Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking and Beijing Nova Program, and elected as an IET Fellow. She has also received numerous prestigious academic honors including the Wiley Outstanding Author Award.
