Main research focus on laser detection and imaging mechanism and method and try to shed new light on the designing and accomplishing the airborne and satellite based LiDAR.

1.LiDAR system and detection technology

It includes the control technology of the lower computer based on FPGA (Verilog or VHDL programming language、Modelsim simulation), laser ranging technique(Hardware development for laser and detector), upper computer programming technique (C++), ranging circuit technique (software of circuit simulation: TINA、Multisim、Candence; PCB design software: Altium Designer), measurement error tracing technology(Matlab). It is applied to the earth observation of aerospace, the exploration of ocean resources and the reconstruction of smart city.

The major background requirement of student : Mathematics, Physics, Computer, Instrument Science, Mechanical Engineering,  Electrical Engineering

2. LiDAR data processing technology

It includes the recognition and classification technology of LiDAR data based on machine learning, the texture matching technique based on data mining and data fusion, the reconstruction technology of data targets based on deep learning. It is applied in detecting target identification, target reconstruction, smart city modeling, drone and autonomous vehicle self-navigation.

3. Signal processing and model inversion

It includes the model establishment and inversion of surveying earth, marine observation and digital city. Methods of signal processing include filtering, fitting and texture matching technique. It is applied in earth observation, marine resources exploration and smart city reconstruction of aerospace field.
