Dr. Zhang Rong, a master's advisor in the Industrial Design Department at Beihang University, Beijing Distinguished Industrial Design Talent, serves on the board of the Beijing Industrial Design Association and is a committee member of the China Engineering Graphics Society. She has also been a visiting scholar at the University of Tennessee, USA, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Dr. Zhang Rong was among the first to propose and implement the multidimensional innovation design management method, integrating cutting-edge technology, art, and various interdisciplinary fields with business. She successfully led 11 national or provincial-level innovation research fund projects, published 28 significant academic papers, was granted 10 invention patents, and has won the National Building Decoration Award multiple times, as well as the Beijing Science and Technology Progress First Prize.

Furthermore, her research and courses on innovative design management at Beihang University have not only laid a theoretical foundation for a new generation of designers but have also cultivated many industry leaders, including design directors and senior design managers at renowned companies like Microsoft, TikTok, Baidu, and Tencent.

In addition, Dr. Zhang Rong has extensively collaborated with businesses using her research findings. The corporate projects she participated in have repeatedly won the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, and the A' Design Award, achieving great commercial success.
